Nana Afia Achiaa Deiwaa I is a proud Ghanaian who has lived in Sweden for many years. She is not only a queen and a mother but also a selfless leader whose compassion and dedication extend far beyond the Asante community. Her work touches the lives of all Ghanaians and Africans in Sweden.
As Queen Mother of Asanteman in Sweden, she is deeply committed to preserving Asante culture and passing on Ghanaian traditions to younger generations living abroad. Her passion for cultural heritage is matched by her drive to support the welfare, integration, and empowerment of Ghanaians in the Swedish society.
She currently serves as:
- Chairperson of the Ghana National Council of Sweden, the umbrella body for all registered Ghanaian associations in the country.
- Board Member of the Ghana–Sweden Chamber of Commerce, promoting cultural exchange and business investment.
- Board Member of the Sweden–West Africa Business Association (SWABA), strengthening investment and cooperation between Sweden and West Africa.
- Founder of the Deiwaa Royal Foundation, a humanitarian initiative dedicated to children in foster care.
- Honorary Board Member of Hope for Future Generations (HFFG)
- Advisory Board Member of Scoliosis Foundation Ghana
- Board Member of Asanteman Europe
