Eight years in diaspora engagement, policy formulation, and implementation.
Previously a Principal Consultant for Capgemini UK and project managed a number of prestigious projects across Europe; at Codan a subsidiary of Royal Sun Alliance in Denmark and Norway, RSA/Trygg-Hansa – Försäkringar and Länsförsäkringar (LF Bank/Insurance Company) in Sweden and Zurich Financial Services in Switzerland.
In the UK, I worked for Allianz (Mondial Assistance) and MS Amlin (a Lloyds of London Syndicate). For three years a Business Analyst at HPD Software (Lendscape).
In all these countries, I had the opportunity to interact with a broad section of the Ghanaian diaspora.
Currently President of the Institute of African Diaspora Relations and previously Director of Diaspora Affairs, Office of the President of Ghana, where I was reponsible for formulation and implementation of the overall diaspora engagement policy. I was the Chairperson for the Sterling Committee that successfully organized the Year of Return in 2019 (YOR).
Co-Chaired the first two years of Beyond the Return (BTR), a ten year programme to consolidate the gains of the YOR which engaged the diaspora community; helped grew Ghana’s tourism industry, showcased its Investment potential and solidified its diaspora engagement programme. I also served as secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee, which had the overall cabinet oversight over BTR.
